PWHT - Post Weld Heat Treatment
AMD International provides thermal treatment services in furnaces and on-site for welded joints, tanks, reactors, pipelines, and components for the petrochemical, offshore, and energy industries, forged from carbon and low-alloy steel.
Operating with qualified personnel and using equipment fitted with graphical recorders, AMD can monitor each phase of the treatment cycle and certify it with a cycle certificate, ensuring data traceability even years later.
Customised treatments are also available, made possible by digital programming tools.
AMD performs the following types of thermal treatments:
- STRESS RELIEVING
- ANNEALING
- NORMALISING
Thermocouples, recorders, and all temperature control and measurement instruments are calibrated periodically to meet the required standards.

Upon request, AMD also performs hardness testing on treated materials.

Surface treatment
AMD International Srl is equipped with modern facilities for sandblasting (metal shot for cs and corundum for ss), painting, tsa, pickling, and passivation.

All process stages, from environmental condition measurements to dft paint control, are carefully monitored.
NDT - Non Destructive Testing
Non-destructive tests are performed in-house by level 2 qualified personnel (ISO 9712 and ASNT).
AMD can provide the following tests:
- MT
- PT
- UT (conventional, phase array, TOFD)
- RT (x-rays and gamma rays)
Additional services:
